Bring the catch straight back to camp. Please keep fish and boat waste out of the pond and the dumpsters.

Larger sites fit the camper, the boat, and the truck.

Doug and Mary Jo live on the property and run the office themselves.

Nellie's Doggie Play Area

A fenced play yard with green grass, big Gulf sky, and its own red fire hydrant. Room for the dog to stretch out after a day in the camper.

The rules on the gate

  • No aggressive pets
  • No unattended pets
  • No pets in park buildings
  • No excessive barking

Pick up after your pets and respect other guests.

Potlucks and themed dinners

The clubhouse is the heart of the park's community, host to themed potluck dinners throughout the season. It is where Beacon 44 feels less like a park and more like a neighborhood.

Fresh From The Bay

Bay shrimp in season

Port O'Connor is a working shrimping town, and the Walkers are part of it. When the season is on, fresh Texas bay shrimp comes straight from the family's own seafood market to your site.

In season

Fresh bay shrimp when the boats are running. Ask what came in.

Family market

Sold by the same family that runs the park.

Cook it at camp

Grill it at the BBQ area or in the clubhouse kitchen.
